Community Engagements, Tickets issued and Patrols |
||
Officers from the Safer Neighbourhood Team were at the Community Library in Tideswell and Aldi in Bakewell this morning holding Community Catch Up Events.
These Community Catch Up Events give you the opportunity to speak with your local beat team regarding concerns that you have, sign up to Derbyshire Alert, complete a Derbyshire Talking survey and ask about crime prevention etc.
After holding the events in the morning, officers then attended a report of illegally parked vehicles in Wensley and issued tickets to those vehicles which had parked on a white line system.
The vehicles had parked near a sign advising them of the offence by parking at the location and while there were also spaces available to park safely on the road or nearby. Sadly, even with these signs in place motorists still commit offences putting themselves and other road users at risk.
We all share the road, so let’s be responsible and park properly!
In between dealing with incidents involving illegally parked vehicles and holding a community engagement events, officers have been conducts patrols in the town centre of Bakewell and the rural communities.
